Meghann immortalized me in reference to this moment, (see below), which I promptly came in to work and told everyone about after it happened. And that thing around my neck is the massive key chain/ID on a lanyard I carry around at work.
I have mad skills in the kitchen sometimes.
I work hard to test all my recipes before I post them for your viewing pleasure (disgust?)

haha, this made me smile :)
Oh my, lesson learned there, lol.
At least you didn't put a twist-tie in the microwave with a loaf of bread...(not that I did that, I just put out the fire, haha).
I have a bad history with microwaves... In grad school (ha!) I put a metal travel cup in the microwave while trying to get to class on time.
I've never seen flames get so high from an appliance...
I started it and put it out... then scrubbed the singe off the microwave because I was too poor to buy a new one :)
microwaves at work are a no go. i was my dad's assistant one summer and i burnt a bag of popcorn for breakfast (yes, breakfast) and it sent the smoke detector off so i got to meet the boston fire department that morning. it was a pretty good day.
ps - you make an awesome cartoon and i am jealous of that fact.
love the cartoon
I did this when I was about 7
except it did not explode until after I opened the microwave
it then BLEW UP in my face
cooking egg white on my cheek
needless to say I had a bunch of burn marks for a few weeks
(seems very funny now)
so count your self lucky! lol
