So these are the first pictures I took by myself. Clearly, there is going to be a learning curve. I hadn't bought my remote yet, though, so I was running back and forth with only every other picture being in focus.
This weekend is what my step-sister Courtney has called "family palooza," with a graduation and a wedding all lumped together. I'll be missing the big company picnic tomorrow, but the rain has sort of spoiled that, since it was supposed to be out in the country with a creek to swim in. Today I was in an all day training at the BGC East Club - and it was a REFRIGERATOR. I'm still waiting for my toes to thaw. I'm anti-arctic air.
Dress: BB Dakota (clearance from Beyond Cotton in Little Rock a few years ago, it makes me feel patriotic)
Shoes: BCBG
Locket: Found in my grandmother's things, or my mom's. I'm not sure, as I brought this into my possession when I was a freshman in high school. It reminds me of living in the Netherlands.
I hope everyone has been well! Any big plans this weekend? It'll be my first summer ever that I have to work. I became a teacher right after graduate school, and over the summer I worked summer enrichment courses or taught summer school for extra money. Now there's no vacation in sight and I'm wondering how people do this!?
Entirely not related, but here's what my ipod is playing for me, and I love it:

Amanda,
I'm done calling you Stovall because it just seems foreign now. You've changed so much since you moved and I think it is awesome that you're embracing how adorable you are :P
You win 670,890 cool points for Modest Mouse. and I adore your outfits :D
Hope all is well !

haha, aww thank you pants. All of my kids here call me Amanda because I'm not a teacher, and it's still weird.
I was just lecturing one of my former students - Reid - about how I saw Modest Mouse in concert when he was in elementary school, haha :)
They kept complaining about the venue being too hot, but so was I. There were condensation puddles on the floor. I listened to the last half of it through a window outside (they weren't super famous yet, so it was a small place) using my shirt as a sweat mop. That's dedication.
Hey, these look better than my self taken outfit photos usually do! Love the necklace. And yes, all this rain is kind of a bummer.
nice look!
