After working on super-big-deal "Kid O'The Year" competition preparations, the semi-finale was tonight! I took my girl to a super swanky office building in downtown Austin to give a speech and do a Q&A with a few members from the non-profit's board of directors. As the unit director for her program, clearly, I decided to put my best foot forward.
Boots: Steve Madden, clearance
Skirt: Charlotte Russe 50% off
Sweater: Gap, spring sale last year
Tank top: Wal-Mart
Shell Necklace: SoLa in Austin
Signature Side Pony: I have no clue how to do hair and am too cheap to cut it, maybe if I grow it long enough I'll look like Carrie Fisher. Ha.
So busy has been my middle name in getting ready for this competition. I have about five recipes I want to post, including the "burnin' down the house" salsa I made with Lennon tonight. For now, I brag:
While all three of these kiddos rock, my girley is the one on the left!! I'm so proud I could cry! Wait, I am, but by this point in the evening it may be all the onion I chopped up.

My birdie necklace is up for grabs until Monday - if you are H1N1 prepped (terrible joke, I know, everyone I meet tells me I tell terrible jokes) then head here to try and win my avian themed accessory.

We shouldn't have given you a hard time about your skirt at work. Both you and Bridget look fantastic. I'm sure she rocked it.
The pink is so great, especially with all this dreary weather.
@Eliz "la corta falta"?? It was well beyond fingertip length, swear! Bridget made me measure.
@Chelsea I fell down on that today, I'm wearing gray :/
Love your skirt -- you look fun and chic.Congrats on all your hard work and the semi-finale!
Thanks for your kind words this week -- they really mean a lot.
